Please remember that our class enrollment fees are very low compared to the industry average. We do this to encourage everyone to learn something new. To keep this cost as low as it is, we do require that you buy yarn for classes from the Elmwood Yarn Shop.

Fairisle Sweater

$50 Intermediate In this class, you will learn all of the techniques required to create a stunning multi-colored sweater using the stranded knitting technique known as fairisle. There are 2 different sweaters to choose from.  One of them has many different stylings, including a men’s version. Steeks, two handed knitting and corrugated ribbing are just some of the exciting things you will learn.

Double Knitting Seminar

In this intensive day-long seminar, you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about double knitting. The morning will be spent on the basics, a scarf sample will result. The afternoon will dig deeper and explore shaping and other techniques in the double knitting world.

For this class, you will be required to do some homework! Rebecca will be showing you a myriad of styles for closing up the front of a cardigan or jacket. Whether it be a v-neck, crew neck, button down or zipper, you will be amazed at how much there is to know about creating the perfect opening or closing to your sweater.
